Contact person for privacy matters: Konsta Pukari, konsta@fastnet.fi. Fastnet is a small company with no legal obligation to appoint a separate data protection officer — privacy matters are handled by the contact person.

Personal data we process

We process the information you provide in the contact form:

• Name
• Phone number
• Email address (if you provide it in the optional field)
• Street address or locality
• Free-form message (if you write one)
• Time of form submission
• IP address — processed temporarily for rate limiting purposes only; it is not stored together with your contact details

Purpose and legal basis of processing

Your data is processed in order to handle quote requests and to contact you. The legal basis for processing is taking steps prior to entering into a contract at your request (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) — you have initiated the contact yourself and provided the information for the purpose of receiving a quote.

Data retention

Data submitted through the form is retained for 24 months unless a customer relationship is established. If a customer relationship is established, the data is transferred to the customer register, whose retention period is based on the Finnish Accounting Act (10 years).

Recipients of the data

The following service providers process your data on behalf of Fastnet:

• Supabase (database, Stockholm) — data is stored within the EU
• Resend (email delivery) — recipient in the United States; transfers are based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC)
• Bird (SMS delivery, Amsterdam) — an EU-based company; a data processing agreement (DPA) is in place with Bird
• Vercel (website hosting) — recipient in the United States; transfers are based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC)
• Upstash (rate limiting) — processing within the EU (Stockholm or Frankfurt)

Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to:

• know what data we have stored about you (right of access)
• have inaccurate data corrected
• request the deletion of your data (the “right to be forgotten”)
• restrict the processing of your data
• receive the data you have provided in a portable, machine-readable format (right to data portability)
• lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi)

Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses only necessary functional storage: your theme preference (light/dark) is saved in your browser's localStorage. No tracking cookies, Google Analytics or Facebook pixels are used.

The site uses Vercel's cookieless visitor and performance measurement (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights), which collects anonymised page-view and performance data. This measurement uses no cookies, builds no visitor profile and does not track you across websites.

If consent-based tracking is added to the site in the future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before any tracking is activated.
